OH, was it cold this morning! I had to go back to the house to get my winter coat and gloves!
Today’s baskets are pretty much as expected: a few snowpeas, carrots, two head of broccoli, a red or green cabbage, green onions, summer squash, mesclun, radishes, and white beets. The beets are a heritage variety called Albina Vereduna — certainly not the prettiest beets we’ve ever seen but they are truly delicious.
There is also the last of the garlic scapes and two bags of sprouts. The bag of spicier sprouts is marked “É/S” (for Épicé/Spicy).
